Our Mission

Practitioners and scholars focus beyond particular ethnic traditions to the Universal Truths of Sakyamuni Buddha's Teachings as recorded in the Pali Canon. Bhante Chao Chu is the Abbot of Rosemead Buddhist Monastery and President of the Los Angeles Buddhist Union. LABU promotes practice in meditation, mindfulness, Dharma study, and community engagement. Our goal is to bring Buddhism to residents of the United States and to offer a full range of services both to local and international communities.
